The Parkland School District provides education for students in North Whitehall, South Whitehall and Upper Macungie townships. The district, which covers 72 square miles, operates eight elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school. In standardized testing for college admissions, students performed above state and national averages in math, reading and writing. The district is led by a nine-member board and superintendent Richard Sniscak.
Three of its eight elementary schools are in North Whitehall -- Ironton, Schnecksville and Kernsville elementary schools.
