Parkland's Holiday CD Raises $1,500 for Autism Speaks

Parkland's holiday CD is produced annually by the high school's music production class.

"Parkland: A Season for Giving 2013"—the holiday CD produced this school year by the high school's music production class—has raised $1,500 for Autism Speaks, according to a Facebook posting.

Student artists had crafted arrangements of holiday favorites and some original songs for this year's CD, which sold for $10 and was sold out.

The students who produced it were able to experience music production while also learning about the music business by participating in sales of the CD.
