Schnecksville Fire Co. Seeks Public's Help for Overlooked Sandy Victims in NJ

The Schnecksville Fire Co. is collecting items for two New Jersey fire departments that have not received much aid - they are still without power and have suffered near-total losses in their communities.

After the devastation of Hurricane Sandy there are many eastern shore communities receiving aid by the truckload but others are not so fortunate.

First responders from North Whitehall Township have teamed up with responders from the Germansville Fire Company to collect relief supplies for their 'Brothers in New Jersey' devastated by Hurricane Sandy.

North Whitehall Emergency Management Coordinator Nelson Fogle said,
"We have identified at least two Fire Departments that have suffered near-total losses in their communities and even their own facilities.  Many are still without power and may be that way for many days yet."

Fogle is hoping the community will help gather supplies to help them get these fire companies and their communities back together again.
