Jeremy Grim: Draftsman, Owner of Former J. Grim Racing [Obituary]

Jeremy D. Grim, 37, of Orefield, died Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Jeanes Hospital, Philadelphia, after a courageous battle with leukemia.

Born in Allentown, April 18, 1976, Jeremy was the son of Larry C. and Barbara A. (Rex) Grim. He was employed as a draftsman at Victaulic Company of America and owned and operated the former J. Grim Racing, Inc. Jeremy was a graduate of Lehigh Valley Quarter Midget Racing Club and a member of the Keystone State Quarter Midget Racing Club. He was a 1994 graduate of Parkland High School and LCCC. He also attended Penn State University.

Survivors: In addition to his parents; sister, Jessica S. Grim and her fiancé Ian M. Thomson of Appleton, Wisconsin; brother, Justin P. Grim of Orefield; maternal grandmother, Mollie J. (Steckel) Rex of Whitehall.

Services: Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 4, 2013 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Thomas N. Thomas officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 4 - 6:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Egypt Cemetery, Whitehall.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to DKMS Americas (Donor Registry) and/or Keystone State Quarter Midget Scholarship Fund c/o the funeral home, P.O. Box # 196, Schnecksville, PA 18078-0196.
