Jaindl Corp Wins Award for Business Ethics

Jaindl Corp. won the 2013 Societas Award.

Jaindl Corp. of Orefield won the 2013 Societas Award for responsible corporate conduct last week during an award ceremony at DeSales University.

Jaindl competed against two other finalists, Fitzpatrick, Lentz & Bubba, and Prudential Patt, White Real Estate. The award recognizes companies demonstrate responsible corporate conduct in terms of legal compliance, corporate and individual accountability, commitment to stakeholders, and social responsibility.

The award is from The Forum for Ethics in the Workplace - a nonprofit, wholly-owned subsidiary of DeSales University that seeks to provide opportunities for people to come together for study, reflection, conversation, and action on ethical issues in the workplace.

Jaindl will receive a one-year corporate membership to the Forum for Ethics in the Workplace in addition to the award.

An article in Lehigh Valley Business reported: the winner, Jaindl, was chosen by an independent panel of judges using quantitative data from a numerical scoring method developed by DeSales' MBA Program Director, Dr. David Gilfoil.
