North Whitehall Patch wasn't around for all of 2012 but there were definitely stories that caught the attention of North Whitehall readers. Patch calculated which stories were most read from the time North Whitehall Patch launched on Aug. 23.

  1. The most read story was about North Whitehall preparations for Hurricane Sandy.
  2. Number two was when an "intruder" was spotted at Parkland High School and a full-scale evacuation followed.
  3. Two people were hurt when there was explosion at Sam Adams Brewery.
  4. A woman was killed in a motorcycle accident on Old Post Road.
  5. An Upper Macungie man was killed in a tractor trailer accident.
  6. The sixth most read story happened more recently when two men were arrested for a Christmas Eve brawl with family members.
  7. The Lehigh County Open Gate Farm Tour.
  8. A fatal accident involving four cars on Route 22.
  9. North Whitehall readers speculated on what they would like to see locate at the corner of Route 309 and Kernsville Road.
  10. The other side of the intersection at Route 309 and Orefield Road also created interest.
