Fire Destroys Mobile Home in Laurys Station

The mobile home on Route 145 that caught fire Saturday morning was for sale, according to fire officials.

Fire broke out Saturday morning at a vacant mobile home at 5318 Route 145 in Laurys Station.

Laurys Station Fire Chief Robin Hood said the two-alarm fire, which broke out at 8:46 a.m., is under investigation.

The mobile home, which was for sale, was destroyed, he said.

Among the fire companies responding were Neffs, Laurys Station, Schnecksville, Whitehall/Egypt, Greenawalds, Lehigh Township and Walnutport. Macungie Abmbulance also responded.

No injuries were reported.

The fire was under control in about an hour.
